Itinerary
Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city. Meals: Welcome Dinner
After breakfast head on a long drive towards the norther part of the country. Along the way witness the rolling hills and high snow capped peaks. After done with border formalities proceed towards the high altitude Tibetan plateau and reach Kodari on the Nepal Tibet border. From here after a brief walk eventually reach Zhangmu. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Wale up before dawn and witness the mesmerizing views of the sunrise. After your meals proceed in a long dive towards Shegar. The drive takes you from the lush, green lower hills into the dry, arid landscape of the Tibetan plateau. Along the way cross high mountain passes of Nyalam Pass (3800m) and the Lalung La (5050m). From the summit of the pass soak in the grand views of the panoramic views around. Upon reaching Shegar relax and rest. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Upon arriving at the Everest Base Camp. Head on a hike up to the campsite, where you can explore the area and take in the breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountain ranges. The hike is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the world’s most iconic natural wonder. After exploring Everest Base Camp, head towards the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Wake up before dawn and head towards any vantage point and witness the splendid views of the sunrising. After breakfast head on a long drive to Shigatse. Along the way soak in the views of the endless vistas of the Tibetan plateau. Before reaching Shigatse visit the Sakya Monastery and learn about the culture and traditions of the locals. Today first visit the Tashilhunpo Monastery which was built in 1447, upon the tombs of Panchen Lamas. Next proceed towards Gyantse. Along the way visit the Palkor Monastery and Palchoi Pagoda and the Tzong fortress. Also explore the Maracaju la glacier. Later head towards Yamdrok Lake, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. After exploring the pristine lake cross the Gangbala Pass and reach the city of Lhasa, nestled along the Lhasa River. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast head on a full day sightseen tour of Lhasa's most famous landmarks. First, visit the iconic Potala Palace, situated on a top of a single hill offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was once the residence of the Dalai Lama and is considered to be one of the most significant cultural and religious sites in Tibet. Here soak in the intricate artwork, religious artifacts, and stunning architecture as you explore the palace's halls, chapels, and rooms. Next, head to Norbulingka, also known as the "Treasure Park." Covering an area of around 360,000 square meters, it is considered to be the largest man-made garden in Tibet. Stroll through the park's many gardens, pavilions, and temples, admiring the stunning landscapes and beautiful architecture. The park is also home to a museum that houses a fascinating collection of Tibetan artifacts and artwork. Then, visit the Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa. This sacred temple houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha, gifted by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Today after breakfast head towards the Airport and catch a flight to Kathmandu.
