Itinerary

Early morning head towards the Tribhuvan International Airport and catch a flight to Lhasa. Along the flight soak in the grand views of endless snowcapped Himalayas. Upon landing at Lhasa head towards your accommodation and rest. Later on, visit Barkhor, a very ancient round street and Jokhang Temple a symbol of Lhasa. Overnight at Hotel.

Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet, is a land of ancient history, breathtaking scenery, and rich cultural heritage. The city has many popular tourist destinations, including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar. The tour starts with a visit to the Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most renowned landmark of Tibet. The palace nestled on the top of a hill offers a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. It was once the residence of the Dalai Lama, and it is one of the most important cultural and religious sites in Tibet. Here explore the palace's halls, chapels, and rooms, admiring the intricate artwork, religious artifacts, and stunning architecture. Afterward, proceed towards Jokhang Temple located in the heart of Lhasa. Regarded as one of the holiest sites in Tibetan Buddhism. The temple is a stunning example of Tibetan architecture, with intricate carvings and colorful decorations. Inside the temple, visit many sacred relics, including the Jowo Sakyamuni statue, which is believed to be the most sacred Buddhist image in Tibet. Later head on a tour to Barkhor Bazaar, which is located just outside the Jokhang Temple. The bazaar is a bustling marketplace that sells a wide range of goods, including traditional Tibetan crafts, souvenirs, and religious artifacts. Here stroll around the narrow streets and alleyways, soak up the vibrant atmosphere, and browse the many shops and stalls. Barkhor Bazaar is also a great place to sample traditional Tibetan food, such as Momos (dumplings) and Thukpa (noodle soup). After the tour is completed head back to your accommodation. After breakfast starts the tour with a visit to Drepung Monastery, located about 8 kilometers from Lhasa. Founded in 1416, it was once the largest and most influential monastery in Tibet, with over 10,000 monks at its peak. The monastery is built on a hillside and consists of many buildings, including the Ganden Phodrang Palace, which was once the residence of the Dalai Lama. After visiting Drepung Monastery, proceed towards the Sera Monastery. Established in 1419, it is one of the three great Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) monasteries in Tibet. The monastery is renowned for its debating monks, who engage in lively debates about Buddhist philosophy every day in the courtyard. Here listen to the monks' chanting sacred text while exploring the many halls and chapels. Also visit the museum that displays many artifacts, including ancient manuscripts, paintings, and sculptures. Overnight at Hotel.

Today after breakfast head towards the Airport and catch a flight to Kathmandu. Along the flight witness mesmerizing views of the snowcapped mountain ranges and lush never-ending rows of rolling hills. Upon landing at Kathmandu proceed toward your accommodation.
