Health and Fitness Requirements

The Ganesh Himal trek is a moderate-level trek suitable for those who enjoy exploring beautiful landscapes. It involves ascending from lower to higher altitudes, so physical fitness is essential. The trek typically involves 4-5 hours of walking each day. Preparing physically and mentally through exercises such as jogging, cycling, and stair climbing will enhance your trekking experience. Accommodation

In Kathmandu, you will stay in a 3-star hotel on a twin-sharing basis. During the trek, accommodations are basic but comfortable, with shared rooms. If you prefer a single room, please inform us in advance. Meals will be hygienic and prepared by local management.

Passport and Visa

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your return date. You can obtain a visa at the Nepalese consulate in your country or upon arrival at Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu.

Meals and Drinking Water

In popular trekking areas, you can choose from a menu offering a variety of ethnic and Western foods. Some locations may provide traditional Nepali meals. Tourist lodges offer clean, hygienic, and delicious food. For drinking water, bottled mineral water is available for purchase, or you can use purification tablets to treat tap water, which is more environmentally friendly.

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Ruby Valley. The journey takes you through winding roads and picturesque landscapes, offering glimpses of rural Nepal and the lush greenery of the region. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, settle into your accommodation and prepare for the trek ahead.

Start your trek with a gentle ascent through terraced fields and charming villages. The trail leads you to Gatlang Village, known for its traditional architecture and warm hospitality. Enjoy the evening interacting with local villagers, exploring the village, and soaking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Today's trek takes you through a diverse landscape of lush forests and vibrant terraced farms. The trail gradually ascends to Somdang, a serene village nestled in the heart of the Ruby Valley. As you arrive, take the time to relax and appreciate the tranquil environment and the beauty of your surroundings.

Prepare for a highlight of the trek as you cross the Pangsang-La Pass, the highest point of your journey at 3,900 meters. The pass offers breathtaking views of the Langtang, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal ranges. After descending from the pass, continue your trek to Tipling, a picturesque village known for its traditional Tamang culture and stunning views.

Leave Tipling and trek towards Chalish Gaon, a beautiful village surrounded by terraced fields and lush forests. Take a well-deserved rest day in Khading to recuperate and explore the village at your leisure. This day provides an opportunity to engage with the local community, learn about their traditions, and experience the local lifestyle. You can also take short hikes around the village to enjoy the breathtaking views and tranquil environment.

Begin your return journey with a trek to Lower Borang. The trail descends through lush landscapes and traditional villages, offering a different perspective of the Ruby Valley. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and the serene environment as you make your way back to Lower Borang.

Continue your trek to Dundure, where you will experience the rural charm and local culture of the region. From Dundure, take a drive to Dhading Bensi, where you can rest and reflect on your trekking adventure.
