Itinerary
After a morning breakfast at your hotel, take a scenic 25-minute flight to Pokhara, a city full of attractions. Once you've checked in, head out on a guided tour to explore the city's highlights.
Davis Falls / Gupteshwar Gupha:
Start your tour with a visit to Devi’s Falls, known locally as Patale Chango (Hell’s Fall). Located about 2 km southwest of Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway, this stunning waterfall is wrapped in legend. It's said that a trekker named David was swept away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously vanished into an underground passage beneath the falls, giving the site its name. Continue to Gupteshwar Cave, also known as Gupteshwar Gupha, a sacred Hindu site. The cave's main attraction is the Shivalinga, a revered symbol of Lord Shiva. As you descend deeper into the cave, you'll find yourself right across from the waters of Devi’s Falls.
World Peace Pagoda:
Afterward, take a short drive to Anadu Hill, which overlooks the banks of Phewa Lake. A quick ride will bring you to the summit, where the World Peace Pagoda, Nepal’s first of its kind, stands at an elevation of 1,100 meters. From this vantage point, enjoy sweeping views of the valley below, with its mix of urban sprawl and tranquil lakes. Take in the panoramic scenery of the surrounding hills and the majestic Himalayan range.
Shiva Statue:
Next, journey to Pumdikot to visit the impressive Shiva Statue, perched on the southern side of the valley at an altitude of 1,500 meters. As the largest Shiva statue in Asia, the entire structure reaches 108 feet, with the statue itself standing 51 feet tall. Explore the area and learn about the rich history and culture of the local community. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Mardi, and other towering peaks.
After the tour, you'll be dropped off at your accommodation. In the evening, you can take a relaxing stroll along the banks of Phewa Lake or enjoy a scenic boat ride.
