Manaslu Circuit Trek: Experience the stunning 14-day  Manaslu Circuit Trek, starting with your arrival in Kathmandu and a scenic drive to Machha Khola, the trek’s starting point. Traverse through beautiful landscapes, from lush forests and terraced fields to traditional villages like Jagat and Deng. Continue ascending through varied terrain to reach Namrung and Lho Gaun, and then the high-altitude village of Samagaun, where you’ll acclimatize and explore nearby Manaslu Base Camp. The trek includes a challenging crossing of the Larkya La Pass, offering breathtaking views and demanding physical endurance. After descending to Bhimphedi and Tilije, you’ll return to Kathmandu, reflecting on a journey that combines high-altitude adventure with cultural insights and spectacular mountain scenery.

Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu, the bustling capital of Nepal, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Thamel, a lively area known for its shops, restaurants, and vibrant atmosphere. Spend the day relaxing and preparing for your trek, and use the evening to explore local markets and enjoy a traditional Nepali meal.

After breakfast, drive for 8-9 hours through scenic landscapes and winding roads to Machha Khola, the starting point of your trek. This journey takes you through rural villages and terraced fields, offering a glimpse of traditional Nepalese life. Upon arrival, settle into a local teahouse for the night.

Begin your trek with a 5-6 hour hike along the Budi Gandaki River, crossing suspension bridges and ascending through lush forests. The trail leads you to Jagat, a charming village with stone houses and a serene atmosphere. Overnight at a teahouse where you’ll rest and enjoy local hospitality.

Trek for 6-7 hours through terraced fields, dense forests, and small villages. The path gradually ascends and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape as you reach Deng, a picturesque village where you’ll stay in a local teahouse for the night.

Continue your trek for around 6 hours, passing through diverse terrain including forests, bamboo groves, and alpine meadows. The trail offers increasingly impressive views of the peaks as you approach Namrung, a village known for its Tibetan culture and views of Manaslu. Overnight in a teahouse.

Trek for 5-6 hours from Namrung to Lho Gaun, a village nestled at a higher altitude. The trail features dramatic landscapes and offers spectacular views of the Manaslu range. Lho Gaun is known for its beautiful mountain views and traditional stone houses. Overnight at a local teahouse.

Hike for 5-6 hours through scenic landscapes, including lush forests and high-altitude meadows. Samagaun, a high-altitude village surrounded by mountains, is your destination. This village provides stunning views of Manaslu and serves as a base for acclimatization. Overnight in a teahouse.

Use this rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can explore the area around Samagaun with optional side trips, such as visiting Manaslu Base Camp, hiking to Birendra Lake, or taking a short trek to a nearby ridge for panoramic views. Return to your guesthouse for a restful night.

Trek for 3-4 hours to reach Samdo, a small village near the Tibetan border. This shorter trek allows you to gradually adjust to higher altitudes while enjoying the open valley and impressive mountain views. Overnight at a teahouse in Samdo.

Trek for about 3 hours to reach Dharmashala (Larkya Phedi), the final stop before crossing the Larkya La Pass. The area is known for its high-altitude environment and is used as a base for the challenging pass crossing. Overnight at a teahouse, preparing for the next day's ascent.

This is the most demanding day of the trek, as you cross the Larkya La Pass at 5230 meters. The 8-9 hour trek involves climbing through snow and rocky paths, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After crossing the pass, descend to Bhimphedi for a well-deserved rest in a teahouse.

Trek for 7-9 hours through varied terrain, including lush forests and terraced fields, leading to Tilije. This village is known for its traditional architecture and scenic surroundings. Enjoy a comfortable stay in a teahouse and reflect on your trekking achievements.

Choose to walk to Dharapani or take a drive, followed by a 8-9 hour drive back to Kathmandu. This journey takes you through picturesque landscapes and allows you to relax after the trek. Once in Kathmandu, settle into your hotel and enjoy your last evening in the city.

On your final day, transfer to the airport for your departure. Use any remaining time to shop for souvenirs or enjoy a final stroll through Kathmandu before your flight.
