Itinerary

Along the flight witness endless rows of snowcapped peaks and the barren lands of Tibet. Upon arriving at Gonggar airport head towards your accommodation at Lhasa. After checking in if you are not too tired head out to explore the streets of Lhasa. Meals: Welcome Dinner

For the next two days you will be unfolding the secrets of Lhasa visiting some of its most iconic landmarks and cultural treasures. On the first day, you will visit the Jokhang Temple, one of the most sacred temples in Tibetan Buddhism. This magnificent temple is considered to be the spiritual heart of Tibet and is famous for its stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and magnificent frescoes. Next, explore the Barkhor Bazaar, a bustling marketplace that surrounds the Jokhang Temple offering unique blend of Tibetan and Chinese cultural influences. In the afternoon, visit the awe-inspiring Potala Palace, one of the most iconic landmarks in Tibet. This stunning palace was once the seat of the Tibetan government and is considered to be one of the most important cultural and historical treasures in the region. Explore the palaces many halls, chapels, and galleries, each of which is filled with priceless treasures and artifacts. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

On the second day, you will explore two of the most important monasteries in Tibet: the Drepung Monastery and the Sera Monastery. These magnificent complexes are considered to be among the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism and are famous for their stunning architecture, intricate frescoes, and rich cultural heritage. At the Drepung Monastery, you will witness the incredible devotion and spirituality of the monks as they go about their daily routines. Here also learn about the rich history and cultural significance of this important complex. Then at the Sera Monastery, witness the famous debates between the monks, which are a highlight of Tibetan Buddhist culture and a testament to the intellectual rigor and spiritual devotion of the Tibetan people. Today you will be heading on a scenic journey through the breathtaking high-altitude landscapes of Tibet from Lhasa to Gyantse and Shigatse. The adventure begins with a drive towards Yamadroke Lake, a shimmering body of turquoise water nestled amidst towering mountain peaks. As you journey towards Gyantse, you will traverse two of the region's most magnificent high passes - Kora La (5,010m) and Kamba La (4,794m). These passes offer awe-inspiring views of the surrounding valleys and mountain ranges, making for a truly unforgettable experience. Upon reaching Gyantse, explore the towws rich cultural heritage and visit the iconic Pholkor Monasteries. The Pholkor Monastery, also known as Pelkor Chode Monastery, is a symbol of Tibet’s unique blend of Buddhism and ancient Bon culture. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today after meals head towards Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Along the way, visit the Shalu Monastery, founded in 1040 and known for its beautiful ancient mural paintings. Next also explore the massive and magnificent Tashilhunpo Monastery, a historic and culturally important monastery in Shigatse founded by the 1st Dalai Lama in 1447. After exploring around head back to your accommodation. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast head on a scenic drive through the beautiful Tibetan countryside offering views of vast landscapes and stunning mountain ranges. Also pass through several small villages and towns, witnessing the daily life of the local people and gaining insight into their unique customs and traditions. Upon reaching Rongbuk, explore the highest monastery in the world, perched at an altitude of 5,000 meters. Rongbuk Monastery is a revered site for Tibetan Buddhists and is renowned for its stunning architecture, rich history, and cultural significance. Here soak in and admire the intricate artwork, explore its labyrinthine corridors, and learn about its rich history. During your time at Rongbuk, you will also have the chance to take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges, which are truly awe-inspiring. With its pristine natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and breathtaking vistas. After exploring around head towards your accommodation. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today after breakfast head on an adventure to experience the majesty of the world’s highest peak. The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp, passing through some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the world. Upon arriving at the Everest Base Camp. Head on a hike up to the campsite, where you can explore the area and take in the breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the surrounding mountain ranges. The hike is a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the world’s most iconic natural wonder. After exploring Everest Base Camp, head back to Rongbuk, and after a brief rest proceed to Zhangmu. As you drive through the stunning Tibetan countryside, you will be treated to more spectacular vistas of snow-capped peaks, verdant valleys, and colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Upon reaching Zhangmu, explore the charming town and immerse yourself in the local culture. Experiencing the authentic way of life in Tibet explore the bustling markets around. Note: Please be advised that under exceptional circumstances, such as inclement weather or civil unrest, it is possible for the local governing authorities to temporarily restrict access to the road leading to the Everest Base Camp in the interest of ensuring safety. After breakfast traversing across the scenic Tibetan countryside, head towards the Raswagari Border. Upon arrival and after your formalities head towards the Kathmandu. Along the way soak in the views of lush never-ending hills and snowcapped peaks. Upon arriving at Kathmandu head towards your accommodation and rest. If you’re not too tired head out to explore Thamel a touristic hub of the region. Later in the evening join in for a special farewell dinner program to mark the end of your successful tour.
