The Everest Himalaya Helicopter Tour starts with a detailed tour of the valley of Kathmandu. After exploring the valley, the following day head on a scenic helicopter flight to the city of Dhulikhel. At Dhulikhel explore the ancient settlement and enjoy the grand views of the landscapes relaxing from the porch of your hotel.
Next, proceed towards the base of the height mountain in the world in a luxury of a helicopter. Hovering above hills, river networks, villages, and high alpine ground reach the Everest Base Camp and enjoy grand views of the Himalayas. Then move towards Kala Patthar and soak in the panoramic views of the Khumbu region. After that move towards the Hotel Everest View one of the highest-placed hotels in the world. From the hotel head on a short hike to Khumjung and explore various monasteries of the region. Entry Permits & Requirements:
The Everest Himalayan Helicopter Tour requires two permits:
1) Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit and
2) Khumbu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit.
Unlike many Nepal Himalayan climbs, you won’t require a TIMS (Tourist Information Management System) card for this one.
The Nepal Tourism Board’s office in Kathmandu or the park’s entrance gate in Monjo can provide you with Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit for NRS 3000.
The fee for citizens of SAARC nations is NRS 1500.
Travel Insurance:
All clients participating in any activity must have travel insurance. Personal injury, death, hospital expenditures, repatriation fees, helicopter rescue, and any other disease covered by the insurance plan will be given, we highly advise you to acquire a comprehensive insurance plan from a trustworthy insurance company.
Passport and Visa
Every client must have a valid passport from the return date with a 6 months prior validity by the Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
Itinerary
Upon arriving at Tribhuvan international airport a representative from the Female Guide Kathmandu will greet you and assist you with your accommodation. Upon arriving at your hotel rest for a while and later head out to explore Thamel a touristic hub of Kathmandu. In the evening join in for a brief orientation regarding the tour.
After breakfast proceed on a guided tour of the city. The valley of Kathmandu is dotted with several ancient landmarks. First head towards Swayambhunath Stupa popular known as Monkey Temple. Set on a high hill on the western side of the valley the Stupa is dotted with several temples and ancient landmarks. Also, witness panoramic views of the valley and the rows of snowcapped mountain peaks to the north. After soaking in the wonders of the valley next head towards the domestic airport and proceed on an exciting helicopter ride to Dhulikhel. The flight takes you hovering over the concrete jungles of the valley and towards lush rows of central hills of the country. Along the ride witness grand views of the snowcapped mountain ranges. Upon reaching Dhulikhel relax with the grand views of the landscape from the porch of your hotel.
Today you will be exploring the ancient town of Dhulikhel. After breakfast start the exciting hike. Soaking in the grand views of the mountain peaks of Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and various other peaks. Hike across nearby villages and learn about the rural lifestyle of the inhabitants. Also gain insight into their culture, customs, and traditions. Next head towards the narrow gullies of the city and learn about the rich history of the region. After the hike is completed proceed towards your accommodation and relax enjoying the grand views of the landscape.
After breakfast proceed on an exciting flight towards the base of the world’s highest peak. Along the flight witness grand views of the landscapes. The rows of green hills, miles, and miles of mountains, various river networks, glaciers, and lakes. Upon reaching the base of the highest mountain in the world explore around and soak in the grand views. Next head towards the famous vantage point of Kala Patthar and witness the mesmerizing panoramic views around. After exploring Kala Patthar, the helicopter takes you to Hotel Everest View. After a brief rest head on a short hike toward the village of Khumjung the largest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region. After exploring the settlement head back towards your accommodation.
After an early breakfast proceed on a short hike towards Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the Khumbu region's central town, which has government offices, ATMs, internet cafés, shops, restaurants, and a bustling market. From the village soak in the grand views of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and other several peaks. After exploring Namche head back to your accommodation.
Wake up before dawn and witness the grand views of the sunrise over the white snowy peaks of Nuptse, Lhotse, Lola, Pumori, Khumbu Ice Falls, and several impressive glaciers. After breakfast head on an exciting helicopter ride towards Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu proceed towards your accommodation and rest. In the evening join in for a special farewell dinner program to mark the end of your exciting adventure.
