Everest Base Camp Gokyo Lakes Helicopter Trek – 8 days

With a panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges and the valley below, the flight into Kathmandu Valley is breathtaking. At the Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet and greet you, drive you to your hotel, and assist you with all of your travel needs. After you've checked in, you'll have time to explore the city (depending on your arrival time).

Tour the world heritage sites of Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa. The Durbar Square provides insight into the perceptions of ancient royals. For all Hindus, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important pilgrimage sites. The Monkey Temple is also known as Swayambhunath, and the Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the world's biggest stupas. Later in the evening meet up with your trekking guide and make preparation for your trek.

Duration: 35 minutes flight, 3-4 hours (8 km) trek Today you'll fly to Lukla. Your Everest journey begins with an exhilarating flight to Lukla, a scenic highland Sherpa hamlet. Once you reach Lukla, you'll meet the rest of the crew, sort through your belongings, pack your rucksacks, and start on your adventure, descend past Chauri Kharka settlement to the Dudh Koshi River. A lovely trail that follows the river's bank leads to Phakding (2,610m), a tiny Sherpa town hidden in the verdant Dudh Koshi Valley. On the route, you'll pass through Khumbila, a sacred peak worshipped by Sherpas, no one is allowed to climb this sacred mountain, making it one of the Khumbu's few unclimbed peaks. If you're not too fatigued, take a stroll through the town and interact with the inhabitants, or swing by one of the cafés for a hot beverage. Overnight in Phakding

Walking Distance: 6-7 hours (10.5 km) trek Set out for Namche Bazaar, commonly known as the "Sherpa capital" of Nepal. The trek follows the Dudh Koshi, a milky glacial river, up to Monjo, where you'll be walking crossing numerous suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, before approaching the Sagarmatha National Park entry, make sure your permits are ready for inspection. Jorsale is reached by trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, after a brief rest, hike to Namche Bazar it's a tough climb uphill, the Everest Region's economic powerhouse. Brace yourself as you see Mount Everest in all its glory for the first time from Tope Danda. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Walking Distance: 4-5 hours (6 km) trek Enjoy an entire day at Namche Bazaar. This is your first day of acclimatization, as you ascend, your body must acclimate to the thinner air at greater elevations. The village has various vantage points for acclimatization hikes. Some of the finest bakeries, cafés, restaurants, shops and the only ATM in the Everest Region can be found here. The 'Saturday Market' at Namche is well-known throughout all of Khumbu. Traders from all over the Everest region travel to Namche on Saturdays to exhibit their items at the Saturday Market. Interact with the friendly locals or hike up to any of the vantage points for stunning views of the Himalayas. An early morning hike at any vantage point will provide you with a breathtaking view of the Himalayas. The sun's rays illuminate the snow-covered peaks of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and Lhotse. Explore the Sherpa Culture Museum to learn about Sherpa culture and customs. An upward hike from Shyangboche Airport to Everest View Hotel provides an excellent acclimatization hike while offering close-up views of Mount Everest, Thamserku, and Ama Dablam. You could hike to Khumjung and Kunde settlements if you want to or visit Sir Edmund Hillary's school, first in the Everest Region at Khumjung. Khumjung Monastery, which is almost 400 years old, has what is said to be the scalp of Yeti, the abominable snowman.

After breakfast, you'll set out on one of the most memorable experiences of your life: a helicopter tour of the Everest region. As the chopper takes off you'll see walls of the Greater Himalayan range seeing various 7,000 and 8,000-meter peaks up close, during the climbing season you can see mountaineers scaling the peaks and the snowy landscape of Everest Base Camp will be dotted by colorful tents. Watch the stunning Khumbu glacier and Icefall from the luxury of your helicopter, explore Kala Patthar (5,550m) and Gokyo, you'll have plenty of time to take in the sights and snap several photographs. The chopper soars above the Gokyo Valley on its way to Lukla, the breathtaking Gokyo Lakes and glaciers, bordered by an undulating line of the world's highest peaks, are a visual feast, before the chopper travels down to Lukla, take in this breathtaking sight, enjoy aerial views of Sherpa communities and the Sagarmatha National Park before the final landing. Overnight in Lukla.

Duration: 35 minutes flight Today you'll board an early morning flight to Kathmandu, you may rest or do souvenir shopping after you arrive in Kathmandu. In the evening, you'll have a goodbye dinner to mark the successful conclusion of your adventure.

Say your goodbyes to Nepal and the friends you made throughout your journey. Our representative will pick you up 3 hours before your flight departs and transport you to the airport.
