Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the classic trekking destinations in the country as well as the rest of the world. Annapurna Sanctuary lets you experience a diverse culture and nature at its finest, lush green tropical jungles of rhododendrons and bamboo, breathtaking waterfalls, a gushing river, varieties of flora and fauna, and as you reach the basecamp, it sits over an oval-shaped plate surrounded by rings of the mountain above 7000 meters plus a part of the greater Himalayan range.

Travel Insurance:
Participating in any travel activity comes with inherent unpredictabilities. To safeguard your well-being, we require all clients to hold valid travel insurance. This insurance covers a range of potential scenarios, including personal injury, unfortunate incidents leading to hospitalization, repatriation, and even helicopter rescue in challenging terrains. We strongly advise you to obtain comprehensive coverage from a reputable insurance provider. This not only offers financial protection but also peace of mind, enabling you to make the most of your journey.
Passport and Visa :
Smooth international travel hinges on proper documentation. Every client must possess a valid passport, with at least six months of validity beyond the return date. This is a requirement outlined by the Nepalese consulate in your country or the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
Additionally, securing the appropriate visa is vital. Visa requirements vary based on nationality and purpose of travel. Timely visa acquisition prevents unwelcome disruptions and ensures a seamless entry and exit process.
Equipment lists:
- Find the guidelines regarding essential trekking gears.
- Daypack above 40 liters. (Must be waterproof)
- Down jacket (rental available)
- Warm sleeping bag (rental available)
- Sun head, gulf cap, sunglasses, headlamp, and torchlight.
- Ear-muffs, sun Lotions/sun cream.
- One pair of liner gloves is thin wool and synthetic.
- Cotton t-shirts, Synthetic t-shirts.
- Two Long sleeve polyester or synthetic lightweight for sunny days.
- One Soft-shell jacket of water and wind resistance.
- One swimming dress.
- Inner cloths as your requirement.
- Liner socks, woolen socks.
- Proper trekking shoes.
- Imodium or Pepto Bismo capsules for upset stomach or diarrhea.
- Diamox for altitude sickness. The guide will help you to take it.
- One small personal-sized first-aid kit with blister treatments such as moleskin, bands, anti-infection ointments, and muscle relief ointments.
Itinerary
The flight into Kathmandu Valley is breathtaking with a panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges and the valley below. Our representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport drive you to your accommodation and assist you with all the requirements needed for the trip ahead. You'll have time to explore the city after you've checked in (depending on your arrival time).
Early morning you'll depart from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a short flight that usually takes around 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Pokhara it will take around 3-4 hours' drive to reach the village of Ghandruk, here it’s a short hike to the village, upon arriving at the village Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Himchuli, Mt. Annapurna III, Mt. Machhapuchhre, and other peaks will greet you, spend the rest of the day exploring Ghandruk village and the Gurung Museum.
You'll reach Kimrongdanda after a gradual uphill trek of roughly an hour or two from where you'll be noticing the views of Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre which are breathtaking, from here you'll descend steeply to Kimrong Khola, after a hard descent you'll have to climb uphill for a short while before taking a brisk walk to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is a charming town nestled in the shadow of the massive Mt.Annapurna the starting point of Annapurna Sanctuary home to the Gurung, where you stay for the night.
Today you'll trek out of Chhomrong descending 2500 stone steps leading to a swaying suspension bridge crossing the Chhomrong Khola climbing up to Sinuwa which is a bit difficult uphill trek, after passing through a lovely dense forest of bamboo and rhododendron forest you'll reach the tiny settlement of Bamboo where you'll spend the night.
On the fifth day of the trek you'll be walking through a tropical forest of oak, rhododendron, bamboo and as you cross the forest you'll observe the change in the topography of the region where there is less vegetation, as you follow the trail you'll notice a large stone structure known as Hinku Cave from here you descend towards the river and after a short ascending you reach the village Deurali which offers you with sheer rock face cliffs, wispy waterfalls and raging river where you stay for the night.
Following with morning meal at Deurali, you'll continue the trek through rugged mountain country where you see less vegetation and high rocky mountains as you reach Machhapuchhre base camp you'll get striking views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with adjacent snow-capped peaks, as you trek up towards Annapurna Base Camp Mt. Himchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna comes into your view which is certainly a rewarding experience and as you get closer to the base camp ring of mountains towering above welcomes you, here you stay for the night.
Today you wake up early and have a quick breakfast before heading out to explore the base camp watching mesmerizing sunrise over the great Himalayan range, after exploring the base camp now you will retrace your steps back downhill to Bamboo through the lush green forest of tropical jungles.
It's an uphill hike from Bamboo to Kuldighar from there a downward route leads to Chhomrong Khola, following the path you'll reach to Chhomrong via the stone steps and further descend the route to Jhinu Danda where you'll be spending the night, after checking at the lodge you'll get the chance to relax in Himalayan hot spring on the banks of the Modi Khola which is just a few minutes walk from the lodge.
On the ninth day, you wake up early and have a quick breakfast before you bid your farewell to the mountains, after a short walk from Jhinu Danda your transportation will be waiting which will take you to Pokhara in around 4 to 5 hours, after reaching Pokhara you can spend your time exploring the city and lakes nearby.
Today you return to Kathmandu via flight after arriving you'll have spare time to go around the city. Later in the evening, you'll have a farewell dinner with your guide and our staff marking an end to a great adventure.
